Cooling appliances need a proper disposal path

Disconnect first, move second

The removal crew needs a unit that is ready to move. Water, gas, hardwired electricity, built-in cabinetry, and secured mounting can require a plumber, electrician, gas technician, or installer before hauling begins. Confirm that work separately.

Measure the whole route

Measure the appliance and the narrowest point along the path. Include door hardware, corners, counters, thresholds, stairs, and elevator openings. Note whether doors or rails may need removal by the responsible trade.
